Zhou Libo is a writer with fertile creations and far-reaching influence. However, Chinese literary criticism has not given him due historical evaluation for a long historical period. In the era of passion, Zhou Libo's works were suppressed because they were "not ideal enough" and "not pure enough". In the "new era", his works were ignored because of the trend of "farewell to the revolution". Zhou Libo has been portrayed as a hesitant hesitant or a passionate follower in different historical periods. He has long been underestimated and under-explained by critics. This book reinterprets Zhou Libo's literary creation, carefully sorts out the relationship between his works and the "May Fourth Movement" tradition and the "Speeches" tradition, analyzes his fate in the history of Chinese literary criticism, and thus reflects on the internal mechanism of contemporary Chinese literary criticism.
