"Historical Materials of Zhejiang University" contains some precious or important archival historical materials gradually accumulated in the historical development of Zhejiang University since the establishment of Qiushi Academy in 1897 (the 23rd year of the reign of Emperor Guangxu of the Qing Dynasty). It is mainly divided into four categories: memorials, charters, regulations, and documents. It records the magnificent century-old reform and development history of Zhejiang University in order to create a world-class university. It reflects from one side the development and changes of higher education in modern and contemporary China. It is a new and important material for studying higher education in my country. It also provides Zhejiang University's faculty, students, and alumni with a vivid teaching material of "Knowing the School, Loving the School, and Honoring the School".
