The spread and acceptance of Tang Dynasty legends in the English-speaking world lasted for more than a hundred years, and a large number of valuable research results have emerged. This book is the first work in China that systematically sorts out and deeply analyzes the study of Tang legends in the English-speaking world. This book outlines and sorts out the academic history of Tang legends in the English-speaking world, explores the exchange and interpenetration of research on Tang legends in China and the West, and systematically analyzes, explains, and comments on the spread, acceptance, and variation of Tang legends in the English-speaking world from the perspectives of themes and characters in Tang legends. This book summarizes the advantages and disadvantages of Tang legends in the process of spreading to the English-speaking world, and thereby explains the differences and complementarities between heterogeneous cultures, expanding the influence of Tang Dynasty novels in the English-speaking world.
