This book is a collection of the author's special essays on the history of Chinese literature, including the general history of Chinese literature, the Book of Songs, the Songs of Chu, the Han Dynasty, the Tang Dynasty, the Song Dynasty, the Ming Dynasty, the history of modern literature, and the exchanges between Chinese literature and North Korea, Vietnam, and Japan. Approximately two-thirds of these articles have been published but have been revised, and one-third of the articles have not been published. The special points of this book lie in the following points: first, it studies and examines some topics in the history of Chinese literature not from a literary perspective but from a broader perspective of Chinese studies, and obtains some research results that are different from the literary discipline but are still valuable; second, it uses stone inscriptions to supplement and discuss existing books, especially modern literary compilations, which has certain documentary value.
