This book collects and organizes the research reports, practice summaries, experiences and video materials of the "Focus on Left-behind Children" college student social practice group of the School of Materials Science and Engineering at Beijing Institute of Technology from 2012 to 2017. It strives to truly restore the feelings and insights of college students in the process of understanding the national conditions, understanding society, and enhancing their sense of social responsibility and mission. It objectively reflects the living conditions of left-behind children and arouses continued attention and care from the whole society. It is hoped that this book will inspire the majority of college students to actively participate in social practice and become promising young people in the new era.
