This book proposes and demonstrates a unique theoretical paradigm - co-opetitionism, which achieves major innovations and breakthroughs in international relations theory and solves many difficulties faced by the three traditional mainstream international relations theories; and then develops the two-level game into a two-level co-opetition model to achieve cross-level theoretical integration; by redefining security, establishing the research boundaries of security and identifying stable variables in the process of competition and cooperation within the unit, achieving transcendence of the Copenhagen School's securitization theory; and finding a new path for security interpretation by evolving from competition-jointism to harmony and cooperation. The proposal of co-opetitionism will have innovative, pioneering and landmark contributions in the fields of Chinese international relations theory and security studies in the long run.
