This project is a key work support project of the Chinese Writers Association and a special project with the theme of "Chinese Dream". It is the first reportage focusing on the grand theme of the survival and development of traditional Chinese medicine. The author spent four years conducting in-depth field investigations on the traditional Chinese medicine system, traditional Chinese medicine education system, and the origin of traditional Chinese medicine, and obtained a large amount of first-hand information. Taking the hope for the revitalization and development of traditional Chinese medicine as the main line, the author narrated the debate over the survival of traditional Chinese medicine after the spread of Western learning to the east, and the creation, construction and development of traditional Chinese medicine medical care and education after the founding of the People's Republic of China. It objectively demonstrated the unique efficacy, survival dilemmas and existing problems of traditional Chinese medicine. This is a cultural journey to explore traditional Chinese medicine, a literary masterpiece that opens the door to traditional Chinese medicine.

This book is a collection of essays that are famous for their ideological quality, including the author's fine works of prose written in recent years, among which the most representative ones are "Medicine Introduction" and "Castration". These two works are based on unique materials, beautiful words, and combine ideological and artistic qualities. They have been grandly launched in the "First-line Prose" column and "Medium-length Prose" column of "Meiwen" magazine, and are issued with short comments from the editor. After the work was published, it attracted attention both inside and outside the circle. "Requiem Note" is also a work that focuses on reality and touches people's hearts. It was published in "Creation and Commentary" and "Xiamen Literature", and was later reprinted by "Selected Prose Magazine" and won the "Dongli Cup" 24th Sun Li Prose Award. As a text describing nostalgia, one can deeply feel the sorrow and sorrow of the work. All other works in the manuscript are unique, with different techniques, and each article has a distinct theme, which shows the author's broad creative vision and sense of responsibility. It fully demonstrates the artistic pursuit and aesthetic value of new prose. It is an important harvest of the author's bold exploration and concentrated creation in recent years.
