The First Person in Folk South China Sea Archeology
General Fiction民间南海考古第一人
Zang Yilai Qiu Shiyu
My country's South China Sea has 820,000 square kilometers of blue water. In addition to mainland China and Taiwan controlling some islands in this sea area, countries such as Vietnam, the Philippines, and Malaysia are still encroaching on the rich natural resources on some islands. The Nansha Islands are at the southernmost tip of the southern border of the motherland. They are an oval-shaped coral reef group with the most islands and the widest distribution among the South China Sea islands. They are located at 3°40′ to 11°55′ north latitude and 109°33′ to 117°50′ east longitude. Starting from Xiongnan Beach in the north, to Zengmu Shoal in the south, to Hailima Beach in the east, and Wan'an Beach in the west, it is more than 500 nautical miles long from north to south and more than 400 nautical miles wide from east to west. The water area is about 820,000 square kilometers, accounting for about two-fifths of the traditional sea area of the South China Sea. It is bordered by Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Brunei and the Philippines from the west, south and east.
