The Ming Dynasty was the peak period of friendly exchanges between China and North Korea in ancient times. Ming poetry played an important role in the history of poetry development and cultural exchanges between China and North Korea. After Ming poetry was introduced to North Korea through various channels, it had a great influence on the Korean literary world. When North Korean poets accepted and studied Ming poetry, they criticized Ming poetry based on the actual development of their country's literary world and their own poetic concepts. This book takes ancient Korean poets' acceptance and criticism of Ming poetry and Ming poetic theory as the research object. It uses documents as a basis to find out the reasons why ancient Korean poets criticized Ming poetry, how to accept and interpret Ming poetry, how to develop existing theories of Ming poetry and put forward new insights, and what impact it brought to China, North Korea and the East Asian poetry world.
