There is no earth in the Ridge Abyss - it is the back of a giant beast. All human beings, monsters, vegetation, mountains and rivers all live on the back of an ancient behemoth named "Tai Sui". How old is Tai Sui? No one knows. Even the most elite monks would not be able to fly over one of its scales throughout their lives. People call this living space the "Spine Abyss" - the abyss world above the backbone of the giant beast.
