At the end of 1981, when I was less than 21 years old, I returned to my hometown Pu'an County, Guizhou Province from a unit of the Second Artillery Force of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (the predecessor of the current Rocket Force) stationed in Yunnan. I inherited my father's business and entered the tax department. I successively worked in the Guanyao, Longyin, Yakou, and Woyan of the Xingzhong District Tax Office, and was engaged in the most basic tax collection in the county taxation bureau's collection and management section. In terms of management work, he has also served as a member of the "Taxation, Finance, and Price Inspection" team organized by the county many times. He often traveled to and from Qingshan, Digua, Sanbanqiao and other districts and communes (now townships and offices). He used his youth to witness the rural taxation past of "walking into thousands of households, traveling across thousands of mountains and rivers, speaking thousands of words, and going through countless hardships." Later, he was ordered to move to Ceheng, Zhenfeng, and Guiyang until he settled in Xingyi at the end of 2005. I have been working with tax authorities for 36 years and have personally experienced the turmoil and reform and development process of taxation in New China.
