"General History of Shijiazhuang Culture" is divided into volumes of Pre-Qin, Qin and Han, Wei, Jin, Sui and Tang, Song, Jin and Yuan, Ming and Qing, and modern and contemporary volumes. The manuscript is the fifth volume of the five-volume "General History of Shijiazhuang Culture". This book is the research result of "Specialized History", a key construction discipline of Shijiazhuang University. From the perspective of regional history and culture, the cultural events in Shijiazhuang City in modern times are systematically sorted out. By introducing the historical process of Shijiazhuang's development from villages to towns to cities in modern times, it reveals the inherent changing trend of the cultural character of the region. In the entanglement of closedness-openness, conservatism-tolerance, new developments and interpretations of the traditional Yanzhao culture were made.
