A few days after a heavy rain, the land in the enclosure was still wet, with several clusters of plant buds sprouting from the ground, still stained with turbid water. This is the summer of July. The weather was fine just now, and the sun was shining brightly. But in an instant, a few drops of rain fell from the sky. Then, the dark clouds parted, and a ray of sunshine poured down from the folds of the clouds, and the sky regained its luster. In this weather, I fell ill and lay in bed for three days in a row, unable to go anywhere. My father went out early to the fields to see how the floods were rising. My mother and two sisters had nothing to do, chatting with neighbors outside the house. The sounds of their chatting reached my mind, which was falling asleep due to fever. I didn't know if those sounds belonged to them, because at that time, I was having a terrible dream.
