This book uses literature review, version comparison, historical research, comparative research, theoretical research, questionnaire research and other methods as basic methods, closely following Yang Jiang's dual identity as an academic or scholarly novelist and novel translator, and based on a close reading of the text (novel translation text and literary text), it conducts a detailed exploration of Yang Jiang's novel writing, novel translation, and novel writing and translation concepts and theories. For example, in the process of analyzing and exploring the contradictory and complex mentality of Yang Jiang who is entangled and struggling in the dilemma of "writing" and "difficulties of writing" based on Yang Jiang's own concept of "art is overcoming difficulties"11, we not only rely on Yang Jiang's own knowledge and humanistic qualities, but also connect her academic and Chinese attainments, and also consider her status as a high-level intellectual and scholar's mentality.
