The story takes place in a fictional continent - the Helka Empire. Helka is a vast empire that has gone through many wars and regime changes, and has developed from a powerful dynasty into a semi-declined military country. The country spans two continents, the East and the West, and has strong military power. In an era of war for generations, the empire gradually fell into internal and external troubles. Tribes on the frontiers continued to invade, and internal nobles continued to struggle with the imperial power, which led to political turmoil in the empire. However, the Empire was not entirely hopeless. A young general in the eastern part of the empire, Kyle von Bell, gradually rose to prominence in the army with his extraordinary military talent. However, when the empire is caught between two sides, Kyle is forced to struggle between loyalty, faith, family and self.
