This book is a study of overseas Zhuzhi Ci written by Chinese in the late Qing Dynasty (1840-1911), focusing on the European and American parts. The book traces the tradition of Zhuzhi Ci since the Tang Dynasty and the origin of overseas Zhuzhi Ci, examines the research status and existing problems of overseas Zhuzhi Ci in the late Qing Dynasty, and focuses on the works of ten authors including Wu Qiaoshan, Bin Chun, Chen Lanbin, Yuan Zuzhi, Zhang Zuyi, Pan Feisheng, Wang Zhichun, Pan Naiguang, Zhang Zhitian, and Zhang Yunan. The author made a summary of the lost documents, reviewed and annotated the main works, and sorted out some relevant historical facts. In terms of meaning, the author strives to transcend the modern research model and reinterpret the work in a realistic manner from the perspective of differences between China and the West and cross-cultural exchanges.
