This book focuses on the propaganda novels of the late Qing Dynasty and examines the family ethics, village ethics, job ethics and ecological ethics promoted by the stories as "evidence"; combined with the oral tradition of the propaganda novels of the late Qing Dynasty, it further analyzes the ethical functions of narrative perspective, narrative intervention, local stories, and dialect aphorisms in the "speaking-listening" field, as well as the ethical pursuits reflected in the ritualization of the propaganda, the programming of language and structure, and the repetition of plots and themes. It conducts a comprehensive and systematic study of the ethical narratives of the propaganda novels of the late Qing Dynasty.
