This book describes in detail the history of the development of various ethnic groups in ancient Northeast Asia, and comprehensively displays the overview of the ancient ethnic groups in Northeast Asia from their conception, formation to development, as well as the gradual process of forming a pluralistic and integrated pattern. Based on the stages and characteristics of the development process of ancient Northeast Asian nations, this book divides the development of ancient Northeast Asian nations into five historical periods dominated by different models: the period of comprehensive progress of all ethnic groups in Northeast Asia from the 2nd to 5th century BC, the period of comprehensive progress of various ethnic groups in Northeast Asia from the 6th to 9th century AD. The period of ethnic interaction and development, the period of fierce competition among various ethnic groups in Northeast Asia from the 9th to the 12th century AD, the period of the Donghu's heyday and the formation of a new ethnic distribution pattern from the 13th to the 14th century AD, and the period of accelerated development of the Chinese ethnic groups and other ethnic groups in Northeast Asia from the 15th to the mid-19th century. Written in stages, it highlights the development sequence of ancient Northeast Asian nations and shows the integrated and diverse historical development process of various ethnic groups in Northeast Asia in ancient times. This book comprehensively and systematically describes the distribution pattern, national origin, economic life, social structure, political organization, cultural customs, rise and fall of ancient ethnic groups in Northeast Asia, as well as their political, economic and cultural connections with surrounding ethnic groups.
