Those three words are still alive on a wall in the backyard of Guangyan Zen Monastery. There are scattered halls along the way, with the sound of wooden bells. Then you enter a dark corridor, exit a corner door, and suddenly the sky is high and the mountains are far away. Then you turn to the right and you see those three words - many years later, they are still as black as new, broad and unrestrained, like dancing but inhabiting.

Chang Xu lived by the Wenjing River in Jiangyuan County, Western Shu, and made a living by farming and reading. At that time, the world was in chaos, and Chang Xu traveled to Ba, Shu, Han and other places. The "Chengguo" regime that was separated from Bashu recruited Chang Xu into an official position and served as a historian. General Huan Wen of the Eastern Jin Dynasty went south to attack Bashu. Chang Cu followed Huan Wen to Jiankang and lived in a back alley. After ten years, he completed the masterpiece "Huayang Guozhi" in the style of Chinese local chronicles. This book focuses on Chang Xu's life in the form of a novel. The author combines historical facts with literary expression, and uses the writing of "Huayang Guozhi" as the main line to spread out the ups and downs of Chang Xu's life. It praises the life of this particularly important figure in Chinese history and local chronicles. It also expresses the author's admiration and praise for Chang Xu's outlook on life and values ​​​​through literary narratives that rely on historical materials.
