For five thousand years, a beautiful myth has been circulating here, called Yi shooting for nine days. "Huainanzi", the oldest book in China, records: "In the time of Yao, ten suns came out simultaneously, scorching crops, killing vegetation, and leaving the people without food. Yi raised his head and shot down nine suns. All the people were happy and made Yao the emperor." Legend has it that the sun Yi shot down fell in the Shangdang Basin on the west side of the Taihang Mountains, and turned into the vast Qinshui coal field. This is the hometown of coal, and the people here are all descendants of coal. They mine light and heat day and night, holding rounds of the sun in their hands. "We mine the sun." The minds of coal diggers are connected with the story of Yi She nine days. Yi She nine days created the conditions for human survival. Coal diggers provide energy and raw materials for people to live a better life, so they are called "people who mine the sun."
