Love at Dusk
General Fiction黄昏绝恋
Yan Shaoqiu
Amateur writer Wang Chichen fell in love with company manager Liu Xin, and decided to travel to Sanya to get married. Liu's mother, Yu Weili, went with her to investigate, but she refused to allow Wang Chichen because she thought Wang Chichen was old, sick, and poor. When there was a conflict between love and filial piety, neither Wang Chichen nor Liu Xin wanted to disobey their mother's destiny and be unfilial sinners, so they had to reluctantly part ways with each other, and their trip to Sanya ended up breaking up. Contemporary love is free and marriage is independent. But love cannot be without any constraints at any time, and men and women cannot do whatever they want and do as they please. This play tries to illustrate: In an age of overwhelming materialism, there is still true love that is not controlled by money. But asymmetrical love is difficult to get married, and most of the time it is a tragedy.
