"Winter Sun", based on the emotions of the male protagonist Yan Weijian and the female protagonist Dong Yue'er, describes an ordinary love story that happened in the corner of northern Sichuan. It is tortuous and shocking, coincidental and disturbing, frustrating and enjoyable, flawed but perfect, sad and persevering. Although "Warm Sun in Winter" is a novel with a love story as the main line, it is closely related to our lives. It describes the lives of the people at the bottom from rural to urban areas during the specific historical stage of reform and opening up. Except for a few people who have made a fortune, most of these people live at the bottom of the city and form a huge social group. The novel gives a detailed description of the peasants living in the city. Although it does not directly touch the erratic fate and suffering of the people at the bottom in the era, it cleverly connects the fate and suffering of mankind in different eras through the living conditions, twists and turns of fate and complex emotions of the protagonists.
