It would be better if his face was shorter - unfortunately, his face is a bit too long. In addition, Lang and donkey have similar pronunciation, so some people call him "Big Donkey" behind his back. Dalang usually speaks in a high-pitched voice and is very popular in the village. He maintained his straight back until 1971, the late period of the Cultural Revolution, when he was kicked to pieces by the then village party secretary. From then on, Dalang's waist never straightened up again. The older people in the village still remember the reason why Dalang was kicked. There is an ancient building in our village, and its builder is Cao Hanlin, a man from our village.
