This is a rural novel with a realistic theme. It begins with "I" attending the wedding of my classmate and sister. It uses flashbacks, narrations and partial narration to unfold the rural customs of northern Guizhou, and combines local historical legends, folk customs, dialects, ancient architecture and so on. The bright lines of architecture and landscapes, as well as the dark lines of male and female emotions, which are either bright or dark, are attached to the representative element of "kudingcha". It can also be understood as a "travel prose novel" or a "promotional novel" about his hometown.
