The main literary genre of "Light" is poetry. Poetry is more graphic, abstract, and personal, but at the same time can illustrate broader content and themes. The book is divided into eight chapters, each chapter tells an important part of life. "Days" records every detail of life, "Spring Snow" depicts the changes of the four seasons; "Bitter Tea" is travel information, "Recess" includes school life; "Lights" describes family affection, and "Writing" represents the insights gained after appreciating works of art.
