Xie Siwei is a professor in the Chinese Department of Tsinghua University. He is the author of "Zen Buddhism and Chinese Literature" (China Social Sciences Press, 1993), "A Comprehensive Review of Bai Juyi's Collected Works" (China Social Sciences Press, 1996), "Collection of Poetics of the Tang and Song Dynasties" (Commercial Press, 2003), "Collation and Annotation of Bai Juyi's Poems" (Zhonghua Book Company, 2006), "College and Annotation of Bai Juyi's Collected Works" (Zhonghua Book Company, 2011), etc. "Tang Poetry and Tang History" contains the author's research papers related to Tang Dynasty poetry and Tang Dynasty history in the past ten years. While completing the proofreading and annotation of the collected works of Du Fu and Bai Juyi, two important poets of the Tang Dynasty, the author launched an investigation around a number of difficult issues.
