The novel collection includes five representative works created by Xie Luoyi from 2013 to 2015. "Going to the Xiema River" is about the reflection and transgression between pure first love and repressed lust; "Old New Dyke" is about a woman who refuses to be a middle-aged person. Her unusual life choice is both self-respecting and tragic. The intellectual woman in "Bird Road" is forced to clarify the past and face the truth of life on a journey to get married; in "His Huairen Hall" there is a father and son who become more and more at a loss as they get closer; "The Unknown" tells the story of the little people's fear of always being burdened with the fate of the bottom.

This move is not to highlight the generational differences, nor is it a move that some people call "these young people are forming cliques". Doing so can, on the one hand, reveal the critic's vision and aesthetic orientation; on the other hand, it is also a response to the famous critic Professor Chen Sihe's advocacy of being a critic of his own generation. In the view of Professor Chen Sihe, "Contemporaries certainly have a deeper understanding of their contemporaries. Writers have perceptual things that they cannot explain theoretically, and critics mobilize their knowledge accumulation and elevate these perceptual things to theoretical explanations. Literary ideological trends and new aesthetic styles are jointly constructed by this." Such a centralized presentation and display of "post-70s", "post-80s" and "post-90s" writers will also help to form a discourse field and help outstanding writers stand out. I only hope that in a few years, it can become a witness to the growth of writers and critics of this era, and deduce more good stories in the literary world.
