It has the characteristics of ancient mystery, rich and tragic, taboo and solemnity, and complete living state. Most of the motifs in "King Yalu" appear in the epic in a natural sequence. It is not only the framework supporting the heroic characters, but also the main line of the development of the epic. Therefore, the study of motifs in epic research plays a decisive role. The author uses time and space as the axis to explore heroic images; uses the motif as the outline to explore the connotation of the epic; uses inheritance as the root to seek the path to transformation, and constructs a new path for the study of King Yalu with "diachronic tracks" and "synchronic flow".
