Wu Zuxiang
Mr. Wu Zuxiang is a famous novelist and expert on ancient novels. Since 1952, he has lectured in the Chinese Department of Peking University on the literary history of the Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties, the history of Chinese novels, special courses on "Strange Stories from a Chinese Studio" and "A Dream of Red Mansions", etc., And compiled lecture notes. Mr. Fu Chengzhou reorganized these lecture notes and combined the never-published special lecture notes on "Strange Stories from a Chinese Studio" and an essay on "Jin Ping Mei" that Mr. Wu had compiled but not published into a volume for the readers and as a memorial to Mr. Wu. The book also includes six essays by Mr. Wu Zuxiang on the four famous works of ancient Chinese novels and "The Scholars".
