Thirty-one-year-old Lu Zhao worked the night shift at a funeral home. At four o'clock in the morning, he received a delivery note. The address was the old house where his mother had lived for more than 20 years. The night before, his mother called him seven times, saying that the water heater kept failing to start, and asked him to go back after get off work and take a look. He didn't answer any of them.
