夏鼐书信集
Written By Xia Nai, Edited By Wang Shimin And Tang Chao
This book contains more than 300 important letters from the famous archaeologist Xia Nai, spanning the 1930s to the 1980s, including letters in which Xia Nai asked Fu Sinian and Li Ji for advice on study plans before studying abroad, and letters in which Xia Nai reported his work to them during his expedition to the northwest. In the early days of the founding of New China, there were letters reporting work conditions to Zheng Zhenduo and Liang Siyong, letters that later guided archaeological work across the country, letters discussing academic issues with famous scholars such as Han Rulin and Tan Qixiang, and letters exchanging visit arrangements with overseas scholars such as Zhang Guangzhi. Most of the letters included in the book are published for the first time, reflecting Mr. Xia Nai's personal life and interpersonal interactions at work. They are of great historical value for the study of modern Chinese academic history and the archaeological history of New China.
