At Beijing Normal University, Mr. Qi Gong has successively taught literary history courses focusing on the literature of the Tang Dynasty and poems of the Ming and Qing Dynasties, academic ideological history courses focusing on the Han Dynasty, Song Dynasty, and Qing Dynasty, basic ancient book compilation courses focusing on cultural knowledge and literature knowledge, and other courses. These constitute the four parts of this book: On Literature, On Academic Thought, On Collation of Ancient Books and Others. In each part, there are both macro generalizations and specific analytical examples; what is particularly valuable is that it can connect all generations and observe the development and changes of academic and literature in the past from a historical perspective. For example, when discussing academic thought, it starts from the culture of the early people and continues to the ancient Chinese classics of Hanology, Song Dynasty, and Qing Dynasty, which fully reflects Mr. Qi's overall observation of Chinese academic thought.
