Just Met You
Modern Romance刚好遇见你
Writerhhvy37
Warm light under neon The first time Lin Shen met Su Wan was at the cafe called "Old Time" on Jianguo West Road. It was an early autumn evening, and the sycamore leaves were blown by the wind past the glass windows, casting shaking broken shadows on the floor. He had just finished a lengthy project meeting, his tie hung loosely around his neck, and the wind brought in when he opened the door lifted the strands of hair around Su Wan's ears. She was sitting by the window, flipping through an architecture magazine, her fingertips tapping lightly on a page of pictures of fair-faced concrete buildings. The outline of her profile was outlined with a soft golden edge by the gradually brightening street lights outside the window. "A glass of Americano with ice." Lin Shen's voice was full of exhaustion after the meeting, but he paused for a moment when he saw Su Wan raising her head. Her eyes are very bright, like holding "Actually, I've seen you many times." Lin Shen suddenly spoke, his voice filtered out very clearly by the sound of rain, "In the cafe, you always sit in that position. Sometimes you stare out the window in a daze, and sometimes you suddenly take out your sketchbook and draw a few strokes." Su Wan's heart skipped a beat, and her fingertips unconsciously curled around the edge of the drawing: "I also noticed you, your bookmark..." "This?" Lin Shen took out the ginkgo bookmark from his canvas bag. "I picked it up under the ginkgo tree in Suzhou when I was in college. I later found someone to make a bookmark." He paused and looked sideways at her. The light from the streetlight fell on his eyelashes. "Can you... Give me one of the city corners you drew?" They silently witnessed the warm time that belonged to them and slowly grew up in the neon city.
