It tells the story of Lin Yuan, a young Chinese student studying in Singapore, who was cursed because of an accidental encounter with a mysterious head-lowering ceremony. When he was desperate, he met "Coffin Man" Chen Fulai, a master chef who lived in seclusion in the bustling city. In the process of being forced to become a disciple, Lin Yuan went from initial resistance to gradually understanding the true meaning of Nanyang witchcraft, and finally embarked on a strange life of helping villagers exorcise evil spirits and cure diseases.
