"Forgotten Town" tells the story of Lin Mo, a former urban reporter who was at a low point in his life and broke into the "Misty Hidden Town" that had never been marked on the map due to an accident. In this small town shrouded in eternal fog, time seems to have been frozen decades ago. The townspeople live a cyclical life, keeping secrets about the "outside world", "past" and "departure", as if they have been deprived of the right to remember by invisible forces. As he stayed longer, Lin Mo discovered that there was something strange hidden in the town: people who tried to leave would always come back in the fog, and the townspeople would collectively go to the "Forgotten Lake" at night to hold secret ceremonies, and his own memory was blurring at a speed visible to the naked eye - first it was trivial things, and gradually it spread to doubts about his own identity. He realized that this fog was not a natural phenomenon, but the embodiment of "forgetfulness", trapping the town in an escape dream that he did not want to wake up from. In cooperation with A Tang, the only girl in the town who can vaguely resist forgetting, they pieced together the truth from a hundred years ago from dusty diaries, covered murals, and hidden mysterious necklaces: this was once a prosperous place called "Qingxi Town", and a man-made arson burned half of the town. In order to escape sin and punishment, the survivors made a contract with the power of the lake - at the cost of collective forgetfulness, the town would disappear from reality and be isolated forever.
