In 2147, the earth has been shrouded in dark red "red mist" for a hundred years. 90% Of humanity has retreated to the low-Earth orbit space station "Ark". Only scattered tribes of survivors and AI-controlled "purification zones" remain on the surface. The two eras are isolated and opposed due to resource competition and historical misunderstandings. Ark's chief physicist Lin Ye accidentally triggered the "Stardust Web" while tracing the source of the red fog, and established a cross-time and space consciousness connection with the ecologist Su Tang when the red fog first appeared 50 years ago (2097). One witnesses the collapse of civilization in the future, and the other detects signs of disaster in the past. The two discover that the red mist is not a natural disaster, but a conspiracy created by Genesis Technology to monopolize space resources. The "purification core" is the culprit of continued pollution. In order to uncover the truth and save civilization, they exchanged clues across time and space - Su Tang interpreted the star track code in the "Remnant Totem" in the surface tribe, Lin Ye fought against the high-level concealment and Creation Technology pursuit in the Ark, and the former Creation programmer Lu Ming risked his life to help, the Ark survivors made difficult choices, and the ultimate game between AI and humanity. From the life-and-death crash landing in the surface river valley, to the thrilling showdown at the Qingnan Mountain gene bank, to the final expedition to the backup base in the universe, the two used the "stardust web" as a bridge to connect the faith and courage of the two eras. In the end, the red mist dissipated, allowing divided mankind to join hands again to rebuild a vibrant home for everyone on the desolate earth.
