On November 1, 1986, a fire broke out in the warehouse of Sandoz AG in Schweizerhalle, near Basel, Switzerland. During the fire fighting process, about 10,000 m3 of firefighting water contaminated with toxic materials flowed into the Rhine River. An underwater exploration team is trapped. The then Swiss Interior Minister, 61-year-old Carmy Rey, took the initiative to lead the Tiger Team 30 meters deep into the water to carry out a rescue.
