The world we enter is a world where language (symbols) has already been opened. For the narrator who speaks, "self" does not seem to provide a meta-level structure on which to act or settle. Since modernity, the subject that was once regarded as the "foundation" has been gradually lost in the debate between the language paradigm and the subject paradigm. People are no longer the masters of language, but instead rely on the identity given by language to continue.
