This book is a self-selected collection of 57 papers written by Professor Wen Rumin, a well-known modern literature research expert and chief editor of primary and secondary school Chinese textbooks compiled by the Ministry of Education. He has been engaged in modern literature research for 40 years. The content includes four parts: research on Lu Xun, theory of writers' works, research on literary trends and criticism, and research on subject history. Most of them are treatises other than monographs, and many of them have had a significant impact in the history of the discipline.
