The story begins in midsummer. Huangjingba teenagers Zhou Nan, Tang Xiang, Chen Qingsong, and Peng Chao were admitted to key high schools. In Maojiagou, they met Jiang Pengfei, a teenager from Guangdong who returned to Sichuan to visit relatives. Together they bought and sold chicken fir trees, caught fish, watched movies, and played basketball, leaving unique memories of midsummer. Later, each embarked on the journey of life, shining all the way, to find the life they like and become the person they want to be.
