Zhu Yingdan is a representative poet among the Beijing literati group. His poetry creation and poetry theoretical criticism are a valuable modern poetics resource that needs to be developed. This book is divided into three parts: a comprehensive review and monograph of Zhu Yingdan's poetry, a comparative study of Zhu Yingdan's poetry and Chinese and foreign poetry traditions, and a study of Zhu Yingdan's poetry theory and criticism. It discusses the imagery, rationale, and style characteristics of Zhu Yingdan's modern poetry, the relationship between Zhu Yingdan's modern poetry and the tradition of ancient landscape poetry, and the art of Western symbolism poetry, the theoretical criticism of Zhu Yingdan's poetry, and the cultural psychology and formal characteristics of Zhu Yingdan's old-style poetry. This article systematically explains the artistic experience of Zhu Yingdan's poetry and the blending of ancient and new, tradition and modernity.
