Duliujiang River is located at the junction of Guizhou and Guangxi, meandering between Chongshan Mountains. River dredging since the Qing Dynasty has connected the Xijiang River and Pearl River waterways that were originally blocked by dangerous shoals and rocks. People and objects flow and meet in the channels, which has changed the social and cultural aspects of the Duliu River Basin. Focusing on Fulu on the banks of the Duliu River, this book uses field investigation methods, combined with historical data and local documents, to sort out the socio-cultural and historical context of the lower reaches of the Duliu River. It also pays attention to aspects such as market activities, crowd interaction and the flow of ideas. From a microscopic perspective, it discusses how "regions" are structured and changed in historical time due to the collection of human activities and ideas.
