This collection of essays contains most of the essays written by the author during his visiting studies at Boston University in the United States. The content touches many aspects such as life, study, and cultural differences. The articles are all true expressions of the author's personal feelings. With a woman's delicacy and sensitivity, she records her various feelings as a doctorate mother studying and living in a foreign country alone with her five-year-old daughter. There was laughter and tears; there was emotion and helplessness. These articles are not guides to traveling in the United States; they may just be profiles of the increasing number of visiting scholars visiting the United States, especially those mothers who are traveling across the ocean with their children.
