Rhythm is an important part and essential poetic element of the construction of modern Chinese poetry. This book explains the principles and mechanisms of the rhythm of modern Chinese poetry from the aspects of the nature, organization, form and function of the rhythm of modern Chinese poetry. It adopts the methods of theoretical sorting, text inspection and morphological comparison to examine and analyze the representative rhythm poetics theory and creative practice in the history of modern Chinese poetry. It places the rhythm of modern Chinese poetry in the Observing from a comparative perspective, it explores the inheritance and transformation of Chinese and foreign poetry rhythm traditions in the context of the dissemination and acceptance of new poetry, reveals the distinctive "Chinese" background and "modern" characteristics of the rhythm of modern Chinese poetry, and attempts to construct a theoretical system and interpretation platform for studying the rhythm of modern Chinese poetry.
