This book uses ritual and music culture as the research background, abstracts its literary tendencies and theoretical propositions from the political, ethical, moral, and religious interpretations of the "Book of Rites", analyzes the literary thought of "rituals and righteousness", finds concrete examples from the textual expressions of the "Book of Rites", restores the original theoretical form of literature displayed in the "Book of Rites" text, and thus reveals the intrinsic connection between rituals, classics and literary thought. This book takes the important categories of rituals and specific examples of ancient ritual activities as its research objects, and always maintains the basic view that traditional Chinese literary thought originated from Confucian classics, and that the evolution of Confucian classics determines the basic development direction of Chinese literary thought.
