This book conducts a comprehensive investigation of Wang Jia and his "Supplementary Notes" from a religious perspective and a literary perspective. Specifically, the book conducts textual research on Wang Jia's place of origin and year of death, conducts in-depth exploration of his friendships and writings, and conducts a comprehensive examination of Wang Jia's thoughts from the four aspects of Confucianism, Buddhism, Taoism and prophecy. The study of "Supplementary Records" first sorted out the official and private bibliographic records of "Supplementary Records" in the past dynasties, and conducted a detailed study of the version and style of "Supplementary Records"; secondly, there was a special study on the textual content and artistic features of "Supplementary Records", which involved five aspects: the women and myths in "Supplementary Records", the language characteristics of "Shiyi Records", the intentional supernatural novel "Shiyi Records", and Xiao Qi and her "Records of Supplementary Relics".
