"Tangren Novels" is an anthology of novels from the Tang Dynasty. Around 1929, Mr. Wang Pijiang felt that the quality of the literature on Tang Dynasty novels circulating at that time was low, and he hoped to sort it out and restore it to its old outlook. This prompted him to start collecting, collating, and researching Tang Dynasty novels. Mr. Wang's collection of articles is mainly from Xu Ke's "Guang Ji". He has collected most of the important existing works of Tang Dynasty novels, collated them with a variety of documents, and added notes after each article to conduct necessary research on the author, the time of writing, and the origin of the story. The content of this book roughly covers all the themes of novel creation in the Tang Dynasty, objectively reflects the original appearance of novel creation in this period, and presents the development context of novels in the Tang Dynasty.
