Wang Huo (Wang Hongpu) was born in Shanghai in 1924. He graduated from the Journalism Department of Fudan University in 1948 and worked as a teaching assistant and reporter for Mr. Chen Wangdao. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, he participated in the establishment of two publishing houses and three magazines in Shanghai, Beijing and Chengdu.
