In the history of ancient Chinese literature, there are many works about disasters. These works describe the horrific scenes of natural disasters, people's difficult living conditions and painful and hopeless mentality, and record a variety of disaster resistance, relief and prevention methods, which have important artistic and social value. Based on literature, this book adopts interdisciplinary methods such as disaster studies, history, and folklore to conduct a macroscopic examination of disaster writing in ancient literature and summarizes the valuable national spirit contained therein, which is of great significance to the construction of current spiritual civilization.
