The so-called early countries refer to the initial countries that have not yet developed into a state that is purely based on regional organization and embodies the state form that combines geographical and blood characteristics. The first part of this book is "Investigation of Origins", which explores the different sources of various materials in "Zuo Zhuan" and the various elements that have been benefited by later generations, the original genre, the year of writing and the adaptation process of "Zuo Zhuan", as well as the relationship between Confucius and "Spring and Autumn", the prophecies in "Zuo Zhuan", the chronicles of the stars in "Zuo Zhuan" and other related issues. The next section, "Content Analysis," analyzes the specific origins and value of various texts in "Zuo Zhuan" by year, focusing on distinguishing the first-hand and second-hand historical materials recorded by historians from various countries at the time and later relayed, as well as the relevant content that is obviously part of the rumors and legends of later generations and Zuo's personal opinions, and mainly reflects the changes in historical memory.
